RunCloud pricing plans and what an agency really pays

RunCloud costs 9 USD a month on Essentials (1 server), 19 USD on Professional (50 servers), 49 USD on Business (100 servers, 10 team seats) and 399 USD on Enterprise (500 servers, 50 seats). Servers are billed separately by your cloud provider. Atomic zero-downtime deploys, the API, the web application firewall and role management start on Business, so most agencies end up on the 49 USD plan.

RunCloud plans and prices

RunCloud sells four plans. The numbers below were read from the official RunCloud pricing page in October 2026, with monthly billing selected. The page also has an annual toggle, and RunCloud notes that VAT, GST and similar taxes may be added depending on your country.

PlanMonthly priceServersTeamMain additions
Essentials9 USD1Single userUnlimited web apps, full and incremental backups, 2 GB backup storage, SSL, Git deployment, server-side caching, 1 staging environment
Professional19 USD50Single user10 GB backup storage, 10 staging environments, app cloning, custom NGINX configs, 6G, 7G and 8G firewall
Business49 USD10010 seats, 1 workspace30 GB backup storage, role management, atomic zero-downtime deployment, Cloudflare DNS, unlimited staging, WordPress toolkit, ModSecurity WAF, maintenance mode, RunCloud API
Enterprise399 USD50050 seats, up to 5 workspaces100 GB backup storage, higher API limits

Every plan shows a free trial button, and RunCloud offers a 14-day, no-questions-asked money-back guarantee on paid plans.

How much does RunCloud cost per month?

RunCloud costs between 9 and 399 USD a month for the panel. Essentials is 9 USD for one server, Professional is 19 USD for up to 50 servers, Business is 49 USD for up to 100 servers and Enterprise is 399 USD for up to 500. Your real bill is that fee plus whatever DigitalOcean, Vultr, AWS or another provider charges for the servers themselves.

The jump from Essentials to Professional is the best value on the page. Ten dollars more takes you from one server to fifty, which is why most freelancers skip Essentials as soon as they have a staging box.

Does RunCloud have a free plan?

No. RunCloud's pricing page lists no free plan; the cheapest tier is Essentials at 9 USD a month. Each plan has a "Start Free Trial" button, and paid plans carry a 14-day money-back guarantee, so you can test it on real servers with little risk. Your cloud provider bills for the servers from day one.

RunCloud server and seat add-ons

If you outgrow a plan's server count, RunCloud sells extra servers instead of forcing an upgrade. The add-on is only available on Professional and Business.

Extra serversMonthlyYearly
5010 USD100 USD
10020 USD200 USD
15030 USD300 USD
20040 USD400 USD

Professional can add up to 100 extra servers and Business up to 200. Extra workspace seats are sold separately and only on Business and Enterprise, which matters for an agency that grows past ten people: Professional has no team seats to extend.

What sits on the Business plan

Business at 49 USD is where RunCloud stops being a solo developer's tool. Four features that teams usually treat as basic are only available from this tier:

  • Atomic deployment. RunCloud's zero-downtime release option. On Essentials and Professional, Git deployment updates the live folder in place.
  • User and role management. Ten seats in one workspace, with roles. Below Business there is a single login.
  • The RunCloud API. 120 requests a minute and 10 000 requests a month on monthly billing, 20 000 on yearly billing.
  • ModSecurity with the OWASP Core Rule Set. A real web application firewall, on top of the 6G to 8G NGINX rules that Professional already has.

A Capterra reviewer summed it up as many of the best features being locked into the top tiers. That is fair, but 49 USD for 100 servers, ten seats and atomic deploys is still cheap by any agency budget.

Which RunCloud plan fits you

Essentials fits one production server running WordPress or a PHP app, with nobody else logging in. Professional fits a freelancer with many small PHP and WordPress sites who deploys alone and can live without atomic releases. Business fits any agency or product team where more than one person deploys, where downtime during a deploy costs money, or where a client wants a firewall on paper. Enterprise fits hosting companies and large agencies running hundreds of servers across several workspaces.

One cost sits outside every plan: watching the sites from the outside. RunCloud's panel shows server health, but a client will judge you on whether their homepage loads. Many agencies add an external uptime monitoring service that checks every 30 seconds and alerts by SMS, so they hear about an outage before the client does.

RunCloud vs Forge vs Ploi pricing for an agency

These three PHP-first panels are the usual shortlist. Prices below come from each vendor's public pricing page in October 2026, monthly billing.

RunCloudLaravel ForgePloi

For a pure PHP agency, Forge is the cheapest of the three once you need teams and zero downtime, and RunCloud is the cheapest if you need a lot of servers and can skip atomic releases. Our longer breakdown of Laravel Forge pricing covers Forge's limits on multi-server releases, and the Ploi alternative page has a full plan-by-plan comparison with Ploi.

RunCloud vs Deployment pricing

Deployment costs more than RunCloud, and we will not pretend otherwise. It is priced for teams whose servers carry more than PHP.

RunCloudDeployment
Monthly price9, 19, 49 or 399 USD49, 199, 499 or 1 499 USD, half price billed yearly

If every site you run is PHP or WordPress, choose RunCloud and keep the difference. Deployment makes sense when a Next.js front end, a Python worker or a Go service sits next to the PHP apps and someone on your team keeps those alive by hand today. The plan details are on PaaS pricing, and our RunCloud alternative page compares the two products feature by feature, including how to move without downtime.

Is RunCloud worth it?

Yes, for PHP and WordPress fleets. At 19 USD a month for 50 servers, RunCloud is one of the cheapest ways to stop configuring NGINX, PHP-FPM, SSL and backups by hand, and Business at 49 USD adds the team and release safety an agency needs. It is a weaker fit when much of your stack is not PHP.

Does RunCloud charge per server?

Not directly. Each plan includes a server allowance (1, 50, 100 or 500) for a flat monthly fee, and you buy extra servers in blocks of 50 at 10 USD a month on Professional and Business. Your cloud provider still charges for every server, so the total cost grows with the size of your fleet.

Check your own repositories before you choose

The fastest way to decide is to look at the code you actually ship. Paste a public repository into the deploy plan demo at the top of this page and you get the detected stack, a server plan and the first lines of the deploy script. Try it with your least PHP-like repository. If the result looks like work your team does by hand on RunCloud servers today, Deployment pays for itself.
