Laravel Forge pricing in 2026 and what teams actually pay

Laravel Forge costs 12 USD a month on Hobby (one external server plus unlimited Laravel VPS servers), 19 USD a month on Growth and 39 USD a month on Business, both with unlimited servers. The price is flat per account, not per server, and the servers themselves are billed separately by your cloud provider or by Laravel VPS. Larger teams can contact Laravel sales for custom terms.

Laravel Forge plans and prices at a glance

Forge sells three self-serve plans and an enterprise option. Everything below comes from the official Forge pricing page as it read in October 2026. Laravel adjusts plans from time to time, so open that page before you sign anything.

All three self-serve plans include unlimited sites per server, push to deploy from GitHub, GitLab or Bitbucket, domain and SSL management, hosted on-forge.com preview domains, and sharing servers with teammates. Annual billing is offered as well; the toggle is on the same page.

How much does Laravel Forge cost per month?

Laravel Forge costs between 12 and 39 USD a month for the panel itself. Hobby is 12 USD and manages one server from an outside provider, Growth is 19 USD and Business is 39 USD, both with unlimited servers. Your real monthly bill is that fee plus whatever your cloud provider charges for the servers Forge manages.

For most paying teams the realistic entry point is Growth. Hobby's one external server limit is fine for a side project, but the moment you want a staging box next to production on DigitalOcean, Hetzner or AWS, you need a plan with unlimited servers, or you need to move to Laravel VPS.

Is Laravel Forge free?

No. Laravel Forge has no free plan, and the cheapest tier is Hobby at 12 USD a month. Servers are always extra. If you use Laravel VPS, the servers Laravel provisions for you, you pay Laravel for those machines on top of the plan, and Growth and Business only reduce that server price by 5 and 15 percent.

That matters when you compare Forge with a free, self-hosted panel. The license fee is not the full cost of either option; the server bill and the hours spent running the tooling usually decide it.

What you pay on top of Forge

Forge is a management layer. The bigger lines on your invoice sit next to it.

  • Servers. Billed by your cloud provider or by Laravel VPS. This is almost always the largest line.
  • Backup storage. Database backups need somewhere to land, usually an S3-compatible bucket you pay for.
  • Multi-server zero downtime. Forge's own FAQ says its zero-downtime deployments cover one server, and that Envoyer remains the tool for deploying one project to several servers. If you run two web servers behind a load balancer, budget for an Envoyer subscription as well.
  • Uptime checks and alerting beyond the built-in server monitoring, if your clients expect them.
  • People time for anything Forge does not cover, such as non-PHP services you configure by hand.

Here is an illustrative month for a small agency running five servers. The server prices are round numbers for the arithmetic, not quotes from any provider.

ItemIllustrative monthly cost
Forge Growth plan19 USD
Four production servers at 24 USD each (illustrative)96 USD
One staging server (illustrative)12 USD
Backup bucket (illustrative)10 USD
Total137 USD

The panel is about 14 percent of that total. That is why agencies that watch margins tend to track cloud and SaaS spend in one place rather than staring at the panel fee alone. If you want a wider comparison of panel plus servers against a managed platform, our PaaS vs own server cost breakdown runs the same kind of math for a team of five.

Which Forge plan fits a freelancer, an agency or a startup

Freelancer with a few Laravel clients. Hobby works if everything fits on one external server or you are happy on Laravel VPS. As soon as clients want their own boxes, Growth at 19 USD is the plan.

Agency with ten or more client servers. Growth covers the servers. Business at 39 USD buys faster support, which is worth it when a client site is down and you are the one on the phone. The 15 percent Laravel VPS discount also adds up if you host clients there.

Startup with one product. Growth is usually enough. Look hard at your architecture first, though. If production is more than one web server, read the Envoyer note above, and if part of the product is not PHP, read the next section before you commit.

When the Forge price is not the whole story

For a pure Laravel or PHP shop, Forge is a very good deal, and we say so plainly on our Laravel Forge alternative for mixed stacks page. The calculation changes when the stack does.

Forge's FAQ lists vanilla PHP, WordPress, Statamic, Node.js, Nuxt and Next.js as supported, with broader language support described as coming later. A team with a Django worker, a Go service, a Rails admin or a .NET API ends up configuring those parts outside the panel. Each hand-built service needs its own release process, its own rollback story and its own logs. A few hours a month of that work costs more than any plan difference between panels.

The second gap is releases across servers. Zero downtime on a single server is included, but horizontal scaling means a second subscription or custom scripts. If you expect to run more than one web server per app within a year, price that in now.

Laravel Forge vs Deployment pricing

Deployment is more expensive than Forge. It is built for teams whose servers carry more than PHP and who want the same release process for every app. Here is the honest comparison.

If you only deploy Laravel, pick Forge and keep the difference. Our Laravel deployment page shows what Deployment adds, but we would not pretend the price gap is small. Deployment pays off when a team of five spends even a few hours a month keeping non-PHP services alive by hand, or when zero downtime deployment with a health check matters for every app, not only the PHP ones. All plans and limits are on our pricing page. If you are also weighing a PHP and WordPress panel, the RunCloud alternative comparison covers that option.

Is Laravel Forge worth it?

Yes, for Laravel and PHP teams. At 19 USD a month, Forge replaces hours of nginx, PHP-FPM, SSL and deploy script work per server, and it is maintained by the Laravel team. It is less of a fit when much of your stack is Python, Ruby, Go, Java or .NET, or when every app needs zero-downtime releases across several servers.

Does Laravel Forge charge per server?

No. Forge charges a flat monthly fee per account, and Growth and Business include unlimited servers. The only server limit is on Hobby, which allows one external server plus unlimited Laravel VPS servers. Your cloud provider still bills each server separately, so your total cost does grow with the number of machines.

See your own deploy plan before you choose

The quickest way to decide is to look at your own repositories. Paste a public repository into the deploy plan demo at the top of this page and you get the detected stack, the server plan and the first lines of the deploy script in a few seconds. Do it for the repo that is not PHP. If the answer looks like work you are doing by hand today, Deployment is worth the higher price. If every repo comes back as Laravel, Forge is the cheaper, sensible choice.
